Illustrator Thomas Hedger recently collaborated with creative studio Uncommon, and candle/lifestyle brand Earl of East on their new range of candles inspired by the places we're all missing most since the lockdown began.

The Cinema, The Local, and The Festival are each re-imagined through smell in the new 'Scents of Normality' range, with each one beautifully illustrated by a different artist for the packaging. Thomas took on the job of illustrating The Local, whose scent is inspired by classic British Boozers and is said to include notes of Golden Hops, Yeast, Malt, Burnt Wood and Leather.

All proceeds from the sale of the candles will go to Hospitality Action, a charity that offers vital assistance to all who work within hospitality in the UK, and who now face sudden hardship and widespread job losses due to COVID-19.

About Thomas Hedger

Thomas mixes strong line work, geometric and fluid shapes, and bold colour to create punchy illustrations and 3D installations. He takes inspiration in particular from nature and architecture, exploring isometric dimensions and ambient spaces.
