Stories Make Summer
Owen Gildersleeve has worked with Penguin Books UK to create the artwork for their online campaign for 2018 ‘Stories Make Summer’. He has created three quintessential summer scenes in which to enjoy a good book, playing host to their top selection of summer reads this year.
Each scene was designed and created using layers of brightly coloured paper, which Owen photographed along with the books. The scenes were then brought to life by animation duo Plastic Horse for social media.

About Owen Gildersleeve
An expert in hand-crafted illustration and set design, Owen’s creations are carefully constructed from paper in a variety of scales. His bold and graphic works make use of light and shadow, and hand-rendered typography, for clients including Ninja Tunes, Vanity Fair and NASA.
