KAS X Outernet London
To celebrate Pride month Kris Andrew Small was commissioned by Outernet London to create a large scale animation that transforms The Now Building at Tottenham Court Road into an immersive and experiential environment. Drawing on Kris’s use of expressive typography, colour and motion and with music by @swickswick the animation is truly captivating, engaging and impactful from the moment you step inside.
Like Nature, We Persist, goes across the building’s 360-degree wraparound walls and expansive ceiling, the animation is a journey through emotion, energy, and empathy. Celebrating queerness, humanity, and our shared connection to nature, the installation is a powerful reminder that even in turbulent times, we persist with purpose and care. It's a powerful call
to action, urging humanity to reconnect, re imagine, and rise above.
Like Nature, We Persist is open daily and runs until 5th July. A must-see for anyone in London, the piece offers a rare opportunity to experience Kris’s work on a monumental scale - within one of London’s most iconic and innovative digital art spaces.

The Outernet project was a dream, I had been wanting to move more into large scale video installation for a while, and this is about as big as they get! It’s amazing to work at this scale and at this level of immersion for the audience! Music has always heavily inspired my work, so to be able to make an original track to go with the piece was great!

The work is a journey, it goes from mediation, to chaos, to order to reflection, it's trying to show the chaos and calm of life and find a balance somewhere within that.

I think it might be one of my favorite pieces I've ever made. Video work is cool because you can have so many different options and it can explore so many directions - to be able have so many ideas and concepts and have a place for them to live is really rewarding as an artist.
