NEW MATTER

We will get through this together

"We will get through this together" is a full scale installation by Kris Andrew Small now open daily and viewable at 93 Bourke Gallery in Sydney 11am - 4pm.

The installation is a response by the artist to the lockdown currently in place in Sydney and around the country. Inspired by a poster made by Kris at the start of the pandemic in 2020. A simple yet graphic reminder to people that this is something we are going through together and it's not cause for segregation, but rather unification.

The poster was picked up as part of the "Stay Sane, Stay Safe" initiative that saw the poster be disturbed around hospitals in The Netherlands as a positive message to front line workers.

The work went on to be included in the V&A Dundee exhibition entitled ‘Contactless, Design during a Pandemic’ and later entered into a similar exhibition in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in The Louvre, Paris.

We would like to spread a positive message in the final weeks of lockdown in Sydney through a large scale installation.
