I’m fascinated by human relationships; with ourselves, each other, nature and human-made environments. Introspection, psychology, sociology, mythology and ecology are lenses through which I experience the world and draw inspiration from.

I often turn to anthropology museums, sites and books for inspiration, as they remind me of the timeless power of symbolism in understanding and narrating collective experiences. 

My illustrations start with gestural drawing, capturing emotion through movement and shapes. These shapes then turn into figurative elements, in which I carve light and shade, gradually letting the image reveal its volume and body.
