NEW MATTER

Bryce Wymer X Greenpeace

Bryce was invited by Greenpeace to contribute to their latest campaign, using an instagram hashtag to inspire people to protect the ocean.

Just over 20 years ago, a new area of the ocean was discovered in the Atlantic over 750 metres below the water. Given the name ‘the Lost City’ due to its abundance of giant chimney shaped hydrothermal vents which make it look like a city, since its discovery it’s attracted the interest of the mining industry due to it’s rich ecosystem and mineral heavy environment – threatening to harm or destroy the city.

To draw attention to this, Greenpeace invited artists to draw the ‘Lost City’ in their style and post these on instagram with the hashtag #TheLostCityInYourStyle.
