Olympic Installation
Alec Doherty has installed a fantastic new sculptural piece measuring 3.5 meters square at Victory Plaza in Stratford, the former Olympic Village. The piece is inspired by his experience watching the 2012 London Olympics and is made from wood and steel working in conjunction with East Productions.

As well as his work as an illustrator, Alec creates three dimensional pieces and installations hung in buildings and public spaces. Recognisably his, they show expressive characters and bold shapes, making use of relief, texture and a variety of materials.
About Alec Doherty
Alec creates playful character illustrations in a variety of hand rendered techniques, as well as large scale installations and murals, and carefully crafted objects and jewellery. His clients include WeTransfer, Whistles, Partizan Brewers and The Guardian amongst many more.
