NEW MATTER
For the first time ever, November 24th marks an exciting new celebration; National Illustration Day!
Set up by the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, this new day intends to give an annual opportunity for everyone in the UK to celebrate the pictures that are part of our lives and the brilliant people who make them.
To bring the idea to life, Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration enlisted the help of our very own Lena Yokoyama to create a vibrant illustrative identity to be used to promote it far and wide, and signpost to all the exciting things they have planned.
Using the QBC's brand colours, Lena created a celebratory scene full of lively characters which have been utilised across the branding and collateral to promote the day in a way that is both warm and inviting to anyone (both young and old!).
Head to the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration website to find out more about the day and all the ways you can get involved; including workshops, downloadable resources, and a fantastic Q&A with Lena herself.
