Barker
Brighton-based illustrator Rosie Barker creates whimsical and surreal worlds featuring iconography, recurring motifs and vibrant colour palettes. Bold yet detailed, her work and has a strong sense of place, often exploring themes such as travel, nostalgia and psychology. Working across a range of outputs from packaging and branding to editorial, Rosie has collaborated with a range of Global clients, including The New York Times, The Roundhouse, Bloomberg, Time Out, and often incorporates motion into her pieces.

"
My colour choice is often inspired by 70s and 80s palettes to inject a certain type of energy and positivity into my work.
"
I love to travel and spend time in the mountains or countryside so landscapes are a certain theme that has entered my work quite subconciously. They almost appear as a bit of peace and serenity amongst a busy scene.
"
I enjoy experimenting with light and shadow by using multiply layers and gradients – this creates a sense of time and atmosphere within the artwork.
