I've put together a selection of ideas from previous projects our artists have worked on. Some are included for the style but most for the concept which could then be re-interpreted for Tala and executed in a different style that compliments the core brand.
Artwork to accompany a product
An a6 'Thank You' postcard designed by Toby Triumph to be sent with online shop orders - quite a simple but fun way to introduce illustration into the brand repertoire.
An a3 riso print designed by Thomas Hedger - low cost but very tactile printing method. Could be a nice little extra to send out with products.
Digital and physical stickers by Thomas Hedger. Physical stickers are quite easy to produce and fun to recieve. Digital ones can be used on instgram stories and other comms.
We produced these bespoke gold foiled notebooks with Tom Abbiss Smith to send out to our clients. Might be a nice send out for you guys – a notebook for those 'light bulb moments' :)
Collaboration on a product launch
This is a great example of how Alec's style can work in a subtle way to elevate simple design. He created a suite of illustrations to help launch 25 Park Row - a luxury apartment development in New York.
Recent work by Alec for Costa - he created a lovely animated scene around their product for use across social media.
Campaign by Thomas Hedger for Offblac - quite a simple use of illustration with bold colour.
Owen Gildersleeve for Space NK - lovely example of some simple sophisticated set design.
Alice Bowsher for ANNA – she created host of illustations that worked across print ads, social etc. Extras included stickers, business cards and even installations for live events.
Jessica Dance for Life Wtr - she took direct inspiration from the packaging design and built a complimentary world around it.
Alice Bowsher for Camden Town Brewery – her work was applied to the lager cans but then also brought to life for social media.
Bespoke Packaging
Packaging design with Alec Doherty. The client gave Alec the net template and he came up with the concept of a rotating lid which really brought the product to life.
A range of packaging by Tom Abbiss Smith - as you can see his style translates really well. He can create something quite busy or more paired back.
Set Design Examples
Jessica Dance is great at creating bold tactile installations for products to live in. For the examples here, she has recreated the product as well which is an interesting twist.
Owen is particularly talented at creating very atmospheric installations just using paper and light. These small sized sets are very cost effective and use simple materials to create quite high-end executions.
