Test Run Project 2.0
Joe Cruz has created a series of images commissioned by Studio MM to celebrate the launch of a new limited edition trainer for New Balance, which have been animated to form part of a special webpage about the launch.
The shoe was conceived by one of their Design Foundry Apprentices and takes inspiration from space exploration. Joe worked over images of a boot print taken from the Apollo 11 moon landing and the lunar roving vehicle from Apollo 15, as well as the designer herself and trainer.

Joe is a mixed-media artist known for his expressive use of mark-making over photography and found imagery. Having worked with the likes of Apple, Calvin Klein, New York Times and adidas, his work has been applied across a wide range of formats and scales.
