Christmas in Colour

Thomas Hedger has created an installation in citizenM’s Bankside hotel on 1st December, as part of their annual Secret Garden series.

Thomas was commissioned to create a collection of large scale banners that distill recognisable festive symbols such as holly leaves and candy cane down to their raw forms and colours, creating a bold and graphic display. The banners hang in the Secret Garden courtyard, providing a colourful and immersive environment for guests to interact with and photograph. Optical window displays have also been created for the hotel’s frontage, which change in appearance depending on the angle from which they are viewed as you walk past.

As part of the month long installation, Thomas is hosting two workshops where he will teach guests how to create modern Christmas card and gift tags making workshops which are inspired by his designs on display.
